Find your footing in Killer Sudoku

Open Killer Sudoku, check the instructions and begin a round. Fill rows, columns and boxes with 1–9 once. Cage digits cannot repeat and must add to their clue. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move. Begin with the solo mode shown on the page. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls.

This collection contains 8 puzzles. Progress is saved in this browser. The same puzzle can appear again; the collection is not labelled with calibrated difficulty levels.

Bring this focus to a round

Take enough time to read a new position. If a game has a timer, learn its controls first rather than searching for them during the round. Refer to the controls when needed.

Your objective

Fill rows, columns and boxes with 1–9 once. Cage digits cannot repeat and must add to their clue. Use the instructions to see which actions move you towards it. Review the board or playing area as it changes.

The playing sequence

  1. Select an editable cell.
  2. Enter a value using the keypad or keyboard; Notes stores candidates.
  3. Read the region, cage, arrow or outside clues alongside the normal constraints.
  4. Check entries verifies the completed board; Undo reverses your last input.
  5. New puzzle selects another included puzzle.

How your actions work

Click or tap cells and the digit pad. Use Notes, Undo and Reveal selected. Large boards scroll inside the game. On a smaller screen, keep the active part of the board within view. Use the visible help when you are unsure of the next input.

An example before you play

A two-cell cage labelled 3 holds 1 and 2; a one-cell cage fixes its own value. Compare this with the rule that governs the move. Notice the change in the playing area.

A mistake to avoid

A full board must obey every extra rule. Reveal supplies assistance; it is not an earned deduction. A different version of the game may use a different rule. Choose one rule to keep in mind for this round. Apply it consistently rather than guessing what another version might allow.
